UNITED METHODIST WOMENOUR PURPOSE! The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as while persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship: and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. PROGRAMS AND MEETINGS Our unit meets on the third Tuesday of most months at 7:30 p.m. Our meetings include spiritual growth, interesting programs and a business meeting ending around 9:00 p.m. You do not have to be a member of our church to belong to United Methodist Women.
ISABELLA THOBURN UMW CIRCLE TO MEET The Isabella Thoburn UMW circle will meet March 4 at 10:30 a.m. We will have a speaker from the Area Agency on Aging speaking on how to maximize your memory. Come join us and learn how to keep your mind sharp.
BLUE STAR MOTHERS VISIT UMW IN MARCH The United Methodist Women's meeting on March 16, 2010 at the church will include some of the Blue Star Mothers from a local chapter. Bev Urschel's Great-Grandmother was active in the National Blue Star Mothers. A neighbor of Judy Spencer, Shelley Larason, is active in this chapter and her son, Tony is currently in Iraq. President, Trina Dunlap, will be guest speaker and will give insight as to how Blue Star Mothers started and their purpose. You won't want to miss this very informative and meaningful meeting. Please plan to stay for dessert following the program.

Our focus is centered around what we see when we look at God. Using the 5
senses, we will explore God in our lives. We are using the book “The Shack" by
Wm. Paul Young as our reference. We would like the participants, if possible, to
be familiar with the book before coming to the retreat. We have several copies
available for reading. Please ask Paula for a book. Hope you will join us.
