Grades 6 – 12
The Good Shepherd Youth Group is open and welcome to all youth no matter your race, ethnicity, gender, or religious affiliation. The Youth ministry is designed to meet the young people where they are on their faith journey. At Good Shepherd we want to challenge young people to claim their own faith, while gaining some understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ and what it looks like to integrate that into all aspects of their lives. Devotions include every day topics ranging from mental illness, social issues, and challenging philosophical questions often posed within the larger society.
The youth ministry balances volunteerism (through supporting local ministries like the Good Shepherd Free Store once a month to the annual High School mission trip each summer) mentoring opportunities, small group discussions, and faith formation.
